In the semi-rural town of Wallan, a new healthcare facility was constructed for a client who wanted the space to provide a professional yet welcoming environment. Building predominantly out of timber allowed for this, as the natural textures and warm hues of wood created a sense of comfort and a calming atmosphere.

The building features angled timber fins around the structure, resulting in a striking appearance which unifies well with the buildings large windows. Geraldine Chua of Architecture and Design states that the building forms ‘an iconic front to the town’, and describes the ‘dynamic pattern of angled engineered timber fins that frame the views beyond' as providing a 'distinctive aesthetic’.
