COMPLETION

2014

The adoption of Timber Concrete Composite (TCC) for external applications, such as this pedestrian bridge in the shire of Baw Baw, allowed for a very durable deck with the use of timber primary beams. Composite action using shear studs permitted the use of shallow girders that would otherwise be engineered.

The prefabricated bridge was transported as a complete unit and installed on the footing within 1 hour of arriving to site, reducing labour costs for the project and minimising disruption to the local environment.
