This project involved the design, fabrication, and delivery of 21 meter span HySpan LVL portal frames at 6 meter bay spacing. The timber components were prefinished in the workshop and delivered to site. The tapered column and rafter sections allowed for an efficient yet graceful design.
TGA Engineer's structural team designed and detailed the CNC-cut LVL portal sections to create an efficient, yet graceful structure. The connections and fasteners were designed to maximize structural performance and ensure constructability in both the shop and site.
Our streamlined design-build system allowed for the Stage One portal frames to be erected in liaison with the builder in a single day. As a result of the Stage One’s success and the client’s satisfaction we were awarded the second stage of the project, which was completed in 2013.
