Connections

Overview

 

Structural connection in timber systems can be proprietary or fabricated. Both have advantages and disadvantages relating to cost per unit, load capacity, CNC machining requirements, assembly

with factory and finally, onsite erection. TGA experience has been to provide all connections in house and assembled so there is reduced risk of mis-installation high capacity bracket, such as megant with a relative high fabrication and CNC requirement enables site erection to proceed with easy and high degree of tolerance. Laser cut plates and welded fabricated brackets are readily available locally. 

Megant

Supaply is an innovative Engineered wood system based on a well-established wood product Plywood. The alternating laminates within plywood provide dimensional stability but more importantly provide strength in both directions, as opposed to sawn timber, Glulam and LVL. This bi-directional strength and stability permit greater flexibility in form with possibilities of curved, double curved, tapered, cranked, freeform, and parametric shapes.

Rothoblaas

Supaply is an innovative Engineered wood system based on a well-established wood product Plywood. The alternating laminates within plywood provide dimensional stability but more importantly provide strength in both directions, as opposed to sawn timber, Glulam and LVL. 

Supaply can be fabricated into a multitude of systems, whether narrow beams or panel systems. Panel systems include wall, floor and roof elements, providing a dimensional stable with structural reliability. 

Fabricated

Due to many layers of veneer sit is very stable dimensionally with excellent spanning capabilities.
